The Ceramic Workshop (43 m²) is fully established and operational. The space is designed to accommodate up to four artists working simultaneously and is equipped with two pottery wheels and two electric kilns:
- Cerama SC 100 Barrel Kiln
- Scandia Ovnen A/S EL 61UTD, fitted with a Cerama G9000 temperature control unit
The workshop supports low-temperature firings up to 1020–1040 °C and is equipped with a wide range of hand-building and sculpting tools.
We stock earth clays (K112 White Earth Clay and K126 Terracotta from Cerama), as well as underglazes, oxides, and a limited selection of glazes, all available for artists to purchase on site.
If there are artists working in the workshop, we schedule two firings per month: one bisque firing and one glaze firing. If an artist would like additional firings beyond this schedule, a fee of ISK 2,000 per firing applies.
Please note that we only fire clay and ceramic objects made from materials sourced through the workshop, as we cannot accept materials with unknown firing temperatures or specifications.

Other ceramic products from Cerama can be ordered from Glit in Reykjavík and shipped in 2 – 4 days to Stöðvarfjörður (granted the product is in stock).
