Krzysztof (b. 1988, Poland) is a versatile professional with a diverse background spanning hospitality, event management, and creative industries. His life journey has taken him across continents, from the bustling metropolises of Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and Korea to the remote landscapes of East Iceland, where he has now made his home.
Throughout his career, Krzysztof has managed a hotel, honed his event organization skills in Taipei, and worked professionally as a video editor in Poland, blending his expertise in hospitality with creative and logistical planning. Now based in Stöðvarfjörður, he applies his broad experience to his role as Director of the Fish Factory Creative Centre, where he coordinates artist residencies and fosters a dynamic creative environment.
In addition to his work at the Fish Factory, Krzysztof is the co-owner of Le Temple ehf, which operates Templarinn, a cultural venue soon to be a restaurant, and Kirkjubær, a guesthouse in Stöðvarfjörður. Passionate about community-driven initiatives, he continues to bridge artistic expression with cultural heritage.
When not immersed in his professional projects, Krzysztof brings a touch of home to work, often accompanied by his loyal companion, Miso the dog.
Workshop Technician and Building Manager: Łukasz Stencel

Łukasz is a multifaceted professional based in Stöðvarfjörður, East Iceland. Alongside his wife, Ranka, he co-founded Kaffibrennslan Kvörn, the region’s first coffee roasting company, in 2015. In addition to his entrepreneurial work, Łukasz is a workshop technician and building manager at Sköpunarmiðstöðin, the Fish Factory Creative Centre. In this role, he supports artists, maintains facilities, and helps foster a vibrant environment for creativity and collaboration.
Team members are around and about the factory from 09:00- 12:00 – 13:00-16:00 every weekday.
